Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Trolled by 49ers WR After Loss

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Demarcus Robinson didn’t make much noise in the box score against the Cleveland Browns but he certainly made some afterward on social media.

Following the 49ers’ 26-8 win over Cleveland, Robinson shared a celebratory Instagram post featuring a set of photos from the game. The post auto-played Shedeur Sanders’ song “Perfect Timing,” and Robinson leaned into the moment with a caption pulled directly from the track.

“Bust Down My AP (Perfect Timing),” Robinson wrote with a diamond emoji.

Several 49ers teammates jumped into the comments, including stars Trent Williams and Kendrick Bourne, adding more fuel to the post. But instead of firing back, the Sanders family embraced the attention. Deion Sanders Jr. — Shedeur’s brother — replied directly in the comments.

“Love! I appreciate u for using the song and expanding the reach,” he said.

Robinson didn’t record a catch in the victory and finished with just one carry for six yards. That was not lost on many of the commenters.

“Bro talking but didn’t even contribute to his win,” one fan said.

“Most glorified bench warmer,” another said.

Browns Have Beef With 49ers Receiver Jauan Jennings

Robinson was not the only 49ers receiver involved in some drama after the matchup. The Browns’ defense took issue with some trash talk from Jaquan Jennings, calling it over the line.

“He’s a (expletive), and I want that known,” Browns veteran defensive tackle Shelby Harris said. “Like I see why he got punched in the nuts, because he said some things that you should not say to another man, ever. But, like, I don’t respect it because you say that, then run behind your O-line. That’s some real soft (expletive), and I want that known. I see exactly why they punched him in the nuts. I’m surprised nobody’s punched him in the jaw yet.”

Jennings had four catches for 39 yards and a touchdown. Things got heated on the field between Jennings and the Browns’ defense in the second half after Maliek Collins went down with an injury.

“I can’t speak for how he was raised, but if you have nothing good to say, don’t say something to somebody,” Browns star Myles Garrett said. “He had a lot to say that was demeaning and disparaging toward some of our players. … Some guys roll like that. I don’t feel like that belongs in the game.”

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Took Blame for Loss

Sanders finished with 149 passing yards and a touchdown in the loss. His numbers didn’t jump off the stat sheet, but Cleveland’s issues ran far deeper than its rookie quarterback. The Browns were undone by a failed fourth-down attempt and multiple special teams miscues, all of which contributed to the defeat.

After the loss, Sanders took the blame for the loss, saying there was a lot to work on.

“Obviously we lost, so I didn’t play well. There’s definitely things on film I’m going to look back and want to get back and want to see,” Sanders said. “But at least moving forward, I know what we could do differently going about the week and being able to get fully prepared for every possibility.”

It wasn’t a win, but Sanders did enough to earn the start this week against the Tennessee Titans.

“Shedeur had some really good moments in that football game. There are things that he wants back that we’re coaching up right now that he can improve upon. But bottom line is we have to continue to put our players in position to succeed,” Stefanski said. “For the young quarterback, you only get better with more turns at this thing in these games, as you see more coverages, as you see more defenses and as you prepare versus different defenses. So just looking forward to that constant improvement with Shedeur and for all of our young players.”

Sanders and the Browns are a 4.5-point favorite against the one-win Titans.
