Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has been brutally honest in an assessment of his own game, saying he has a lot of improvements to make and he can be lazy at times.
Still just 22 years old, Colwill has accomplished a lot and has already racked up a lot of experience.
The defender made 41 appearances in all competitions last season and has already made 127 appearances in senior football, including loan spells at Huddersfield and Brighton.
His performances have been recognised at international level and the centre-back/full-back has picked up four caps for England already.
Despite all this, he is very self-critical and says he has a lot of improving to do in the seasons to come, even pointing out parts of his game he considers to be weak points.

‘I know I am nowhere near where I would like to be in the future,’ Colwill said while with the Blues at the Club World Cup.
‘There are so many areas of my game that aren’t good enough. I think I’ve seen that this season.
‘Of course, defending one-v-one has been tough this season but I think I’ve proved that I’m getting a bit better towards the end. And just being on the ball. I’m good at times when I’m trying to make passes and there are other times where I’ve been a bit lazy and you can tell.
‘You might think a pass is an easy pass, you can take your mind off it. That’s what I mean when I say “laziness”. It can easily happen in games.
‘You take your mind off something for half a second and that can make a big, big difference in the Premier League and tournaments like this where you are playing against the best players all the time.’
Chelsea ultimately had a good season in Enzo Maresca’s first as manager, returning to the Champions League and winning the Europa Conference League.
Colwill is looking forward to a big campaign ahead, both for the club and personally, with a place at next year’s World Cup with England firmly in his sights.
‘Of course it is going to be a huge season for me at Chelsea,’ he said. ‘We’re back in the Champions League too which we plan to do as well as possible. Then we’ve got the Premier League where we want to push on and do better than we did this season.
‘For me, looking at the end of the season where we’ve got the World Cup, it will be a big aim to be there.’

Chelsea are into the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, where they take on Brazilian side Palmeirason Friday, local time, or at 2am on Saturday UK time.
Former Chelsea and Brazil star Willian has warned his old club about the upsets we have seen already in America this summer, but fancies the Blues to get the job done.
‘We’ve borne witness to so many surprises at the Club World Cup,’ he told FIFA. ‘We had the recent example of Al Hilal defending so resolutely against Manchester City. I can see Chelsea having the lion’s share of possession and Palmeiras playing on the counter.
‘I do think Chelsea will get through in the end.’
