The ongoing saga of New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs and his reported girlfriend, the five-time Billboard No. 1 hit single-making rapper Cardi B, just keeps going. The latest development came in an unhinged Twitter Spaces rant by the hip hop sensation on Thursday.
The rant came after Diggs went online to post a sharp but quick â one word only, in fact â response to an especially unfortunate rumor. The rumor asserted that the football-hip hop Cole had, in fact, split up for one bizarre reason.
Diggs took to Instagram to post his response â the single word “cap.” The word is slang for “lie.” In other words, Diggs was dismissing the rumor as just that, a lie.
Cardi B Calls Rumor of Breakup ‘Made Up’
In her audio rant, captured by the “sports gossip” Twitter account TMPSN, Cardi B â whose given name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar â takes much more than just one word to rebut the rumor, in no uncertain and generally quite profane terms that are not for the those offended by explicit language.
So what was this scurrilous rumor?
Specifically a fan online claimed that Diggs, 31, had dumped the 32-year-old Cardi B because he could no longer tolerate the odor emitted by her BBL, or Brazilian Butt Lift. A BBL is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to increase the size of a patient’s buttocks, and according to medical accounts, recipients of the BBL procedure occasionally may emit an unpleasant smell from the area of the surgically altered body part.
While Cardi B has openly discussed her multiple cosmetic surgery procedures, including her BBL, she took great offense to the claim that she was somehow emitting a bad smell from that area.
“I don’t know who made that s*** the f*** up. Talking about people BBLs thinking, blah, blah, blah. BBLs. BBLs. I don’t know what type of b**** did a video saying that s*** about herself,” the rap megastar said in the Spaces rant. “But b***, that’s you. That’s you. If you don’t know how to wash your a** and you have bad B.O., that’s on you, b***. That could never be me.”

She then went on to explain that she formerly worked as an exotic dancer, an occupation that required meticulous personal hygiene, and that she was raised to maintain a high level of hygiene anyway.
“I’m Caribbean b***. One thing, your mommas don’t ever play around this. You better learn how to wash that a**,” she said in the rant. “So I don’t know what make y’all m*****f****** think that type of rumor. B****, I was a f****** stripper. I was a f****** stripper! You had to smell good all the time. All the time. I was raised by women.”
Later in the Spaces monologue â as captured by the YouTube channel Coffee City â Cardi B denies that her rant is, in fact, a rant.
“I’m not screaming. I’m not mad. I’m not whatever the f***. I’m just saying that it’s like there’s some real sad s***,” she explained in the 17-minute, 24-second diatribe.
