Carson Beck seemingly bolted Georgia for Miami to join then girlfriend Hanna Cavinder in Coral Gables. The former couple posted a video of Beck announcing the news of his departure via the college football transfer portal by holding up the Canes’ signature “U” together in a social media post.
Yet, in the months following Beck’s decision, news emerged that the couple was no longer together. Beck remained quiet on the breakup despite Cavinder’s less than flattering comments on the quarterback surfacing in a viral video on social media.
During an October 1, 2025, interview with ESPN’s Andrea Adelson, Beck finally broke his silence on the breakup.
“You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it’s all over the internet,” Beck noted in a feature story titled, “At Miami, Carson Beck isn’t ‘trying to be Superman’ anymore.” “Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true.
“So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth. But it’s been difficult.”

Cavinder is a former Miami basketball player, and it appeared that the couple was headed for a storybook 2025 after the quarterback joined her in South Florida. Instead, the two are no longer even on speaking terms since the breakup, per Adelson.
“Shortly after moving to Miami, he had his Lamborghini and a Mercedes stolen from the home he was sharing with Cavinder,” Adelson detailed. “The cars were not recovered. Then in April, Cavinder posted on social media that the two had broken up. They have not spoken since.”

Back in April, Miami golfer Kai Trump released a video interviewing Cavinder and twin sister Haley Cavinder. The clip showed Cavinder dishing some less than ideal details on Beck and why the two are no longer an item.
“He has an ego,” Cavinder remarked in the video, per Fox News. “He wanted people to stop and take a picture. He would, like, flip off people at the bar, and I’d be embarrassed.
“So I broke up with him, and all this cheating (expletive) came out. I had no idea,” Cavinder continued.
“I didn’t break up with him because he cheated. I broke up with him because of who he was.”

Beck and Cavinder have since gone their separate ways. The Miami quarterback is a major reason why the Hurricanes are in the College Football Playoff.
After the season ends, Beck is a potential candidate to enter the NFL draft. Cavinder is no longer playing basketball but is a popular follow on social media. The former Miami basketball player is approaching one million followers with 980,000 fans following her on Instagram.
