Liam Rosenior was given a brutal nickname by one Chelsea player during his reign in charge at Stamford Bridge.

After just 106 days at the helm, Rosenior was sacked by Chelsea on Wednesday night with Calum McFarlane placed in charge until the end of the season.

The decision came after weeks of turmoil in west London with the Blues losing five Premier League games in a row without scoring a single goal, their worst run of form since 1912.

His final month in charge was also marred by key players in the squad openly discussing the possibility of leaving the club.

After weeks of defending his players, Rosenior lashed out at the group following this week’s defeat at Brighton, insisting only ‘three of four’ players ‘gave everything’ to the cause.

Rosenior’s authority over the squad began to unravel as he began to impose more of his own ideas, BBC Sport report. His backroom staff also struggled in that regard with Wesley Fofana ignoring assistant James Walker during last weekend’s defeat to Manchester United.

The report also claims  one unnamed Chelsea star referred to Rosenior as ‘the supply teacher’ behind his back.

Rosenior’s authority was also undermined by persistent team news leaks.

The day before the first leg of Chelsea’s Champions League showdown with Paris Saint-Germain, key details of the manager’s starting XI appeared in the French media.

Ahead of Rosenior’s final match in charge against Brighton, news that Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro were ruled out of the game through injury appeared to originate from Marc Cucurella’s barber.

Chelsea will hope to salvage their season under McFarlane when they take on Leeds United in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.

But the Blues could find themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League table should results go against them this weekend.
