Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed the media on Monday, August 18, and he revealed a serious preseason injury that was suffered by former first-round pick Felix Anudike-Uzomah.
“Andy Reid says [defensive end] Felix Anudike-Uzomah is expected to land on injured reserve today with a hamstring injury,” Chiefs Digest beat reporter Matt Derrick relayed on X. Adding: “If so, that would end his season.”
This injury update from Reid was also reported by ESPN’s Nate Taylor, who referred to it as a “hamstring strain.”
“I can’t tell you how long it’s going to be,” Reid said, regarding Anudike-Uzomah’s expected recovery time (via A-to-Z Sports Kansas City reporter Charles Goldman). “Any time is disappointing because he works extremely hard.”
