On Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers are playing the Detroit Pistons (at home) in Ohio.
Jarrett Allen had eight points, three rebounds and one assist while shooting 4/7 from the field in his first 21 minutes of playing time.

Allen ended up having to leave the game with an injury.
The former Texas star is averaging 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 63.7% from the field in 50 games.

Allen is one of the four most important players on the Cavs.
He is in the middle of his sixth season for the franchise (and made the All-Star Game in 2022).
Before the Cavs, Allen spent part of four seasons playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
His status will be worth watching going forward.
The Cleveland Cavaliers wrote (in 2025): “Jarrett Allen received his award for having the highest FG% (.706) in the NBA in the 2024-25 regular season, in which he played ALL 82 GAMES, today at practice. This is also the highest FG% held by any Cavs player in a single season in franchise history! #LetEmKnow”

The Cavs came into the night with a 38-24 record in 62 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games (and are 20-11 in 31 games at home).
After the Pistons, the Cavs will remain at home to host the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

On the other side of Tuesday’s showdown, the Pistons are in the middle of a season that has them as the first seed with a 45-14 record.
The have won three in a row and eight out of their last ten.
