The Dallas Cowboys have been on a roll as of late, with America’s Team winning three straight games against the Las Vegas Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs to improve their record to 6-5-1.
With the Cowboys getting some big wins over the past few weeks, things are looking up for Dak Prescott and company, as a clinching spot in the NFL playoffs may not be out of the question for the storied franchise.
Along with the Cowboys riding a three-game win streak, Dallas appears to be on the verge of receiving a significant boost on the defensive side of the football following Sunday’s news.
Trevon Diggs Returns to Cowboys Practice

One-time All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs is nearing his return to the field after playing all but six games so far this season.
The veteran corner has been dealing with a concussion that had him placed on injured reserve, but was designated to return to practice on Sunday, according to the Cowboys’ public relations X account.
The last time Diggs saw the field was Oct. 12 in the loss to the Carolina Panthers on the road at Bank of America Stadium.
In the six games Diggs has played so far, the two-time Pro Bowler has racked up 18 combined tackles, with one of those being a tackle for a loss.
Although Diggs isn’t the dominant player he was a few years ago, when he was considered among the elite corners in the NFL, he will still give the team a much-needed boost in the secondary, as Dallas tries to finish the regular season on a strong note and clinch a postseason berth in the NFC.
Cowboys’ Jerry Jones Claims Diggs Will Play vs. Lions

With Diggs returning to practice this weekend following the Thanksgiving Day win over the division rival Eagles, the consensus seems to be that he’ll be ready to go for Week 14’s matchup against the Detroit Lions on the road at Ford Field.
On Friday, while speaking to the media, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones made it clear that Diggs will play against the Lions.
“He’ll be on the field,” Jones said. “Could have been on the field, wanted to be on the field (on Thursday), but he’ll be on the field at Detroit, in my view.”
All signs point to Diggs making his return against Detroit on Thursday, unless there’s some sort of setback that prevents that from happening, which seems unlikely at this point in time.
This will be another big game for the Cowboys, as they’ll need every win they can get in the final five regular-season games in order to have a chance to clinch a playoff spot. Detroit (7-5) also needs wins to finish out the final stretch, as they now sit behind the Chicago Bears (9-3) and Green Bay Packers (8-3) in the NFC North division standings, putting pressure on Jared Goff and company moving forward.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for both teams as the last few games of the regular season heat up.
