Dennis Rodman Roasts LeBron James: ‘He’s Like a Dump Trump’

Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is evidently not very fond of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

During an appearance on content creator NEON’s stream, Rodman was asked to settle the G.O.A.T. debate between James and Michael Jordan, and the former Chicago Bulls star chose a bizarre analogy to explain why his former teammate could never be bested.

“Michael Jordan & LeBron at their prime, right?” Rodman clarified the streamer’s question.

“Michael Jordan was too sexy, man, when he had the ball or something like that,” Rodman continued. “I mean, LeBron is like a goddamn [expletive] dump truck. What the [expletive] man? Michael Jordan sits there dancing like barista coffee. What? And sit there and look at you and just keep doing and making it look so easy.”

Continues to Take Shots at LeBron

This isn’t the first instance of “The Worm” making disparaging remarks against James. In a 2024 interview with “The Overtime” podcast, Rodman said he would have James’ life miserable if they ever matched up on a basketball court.

“I would’ve locked his a– up,” Rodman said, via Sports Illustrated.

“LeBron is so easy to play [against]. He’s so [expletive] easy to play, he don’t have any moves. His game was too simple, he was just big. Now, 260 whatever, six foot eight, six foot nine, that’s the only thing he got pretty much. I played against 7-foot-3 hundred [pounds], so it don’t even matter.”

Rodman, who captured five NBA championships, was out of the league by the time James entered the association in 2003. The defensive ace spent the final few years of his pro career playing in various leagues across countries such as Mexico, Finland and the United Kingdom.

Not Impressed by LeBron’s 4 NBA Titles

In 2016, LeBron James pulled off one of the most remarkable feats in NBA history — overcoming a 3-1 NBA Finals deficit against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.

The accomplishment led to James declaring himself the G.O.A.T., which infuriated a lot of former players, none more so than Rodman.

In a 2017 interview with CBS Sports, Rodman questioned James’ mental makeup and refused to consider him a player on par with his former teammate, Jordan.

“You know what, LeBron’s doing one thing that I always said that Michael Jordan never did,” Rodman said. “He never rested. He played every game. LeBron has the position to do this now because they need him. The league needs him, and that’s why he’s doing all this crazy s— now, like bi***ing and complaining and all this bulls—.”

Rodman added that James and his contemporaries had it “very easy” due to load management, as oppoed to Jordan, who played through injuries, especially at a time when the “Bad Boy” Detroit Pistons tested his physical will.

“Back then, when he was getting his ass whupped, I mean beat down every game, and then when he played against us [the Pistons], he said — guess what — ‘I gotta go back in the gym,’” Rodman said of Jordan. “And he got tough. He got tough, and he got great. And greater. So that’s it.”
