The Miami Dolphins earned one of the most surprising wins of the 2025 season in Week 10 when they handed the Buffalo Bills a 30-13 defeat. Not much has gone right for the Dolphins this year, but they finally have some positive momentum on their side heading into their upcoming Week 11 action after picking up win No. 3 on the campaign.
Further helping matters for Miami is the fact that it is finally beginning to get healthy. While several important players are out for the year, the Dolphins still have guys who are hoping to return in the near future. One such player is linebacker Chop Robinson, who appears to be on track to return to action for the team’s next game.
Chop Robinson Cleared to Play for Dolphins in Week 11
Miami selected Robinson with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he immediately racked up six sacks as a rookie, helping him earn a fifth-place finish in the Defensive Rookie of the Year race. His path to starting snaps was blocked, though, by the talented duo of Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips.
Robinson hasn’t had nearly as much success this season, as he has just eight tackles and one sack through nine games played. With Phillips getting traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, though, that should open up some more snaps for Robinson moving forward. Of course, he has to be healthy in order to take advantage of the new situation he finds himself in.
After picking up a concussion in Week 9, Robinson missed the Dolphins’ surprising victory over the Bills. Throughout the week, Robinson has been working on getting his way out of the NFL’s concussion protocol, and he has accomplished that goal on Friday, as reports indicate he has the green light to play on Sunday.
“Dolphins LB Chop Robinson has cleared concussion protocol and will play Sunday vs. Commanders,” Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network shared in a post on X. “Optimism that C Aaron Brewer plays too. CB Rasul Douglas is questionable.”
Dolphins Aiming to Take Down Beat Up Commanders For Second-Straight Win

Getting Robinson back is a big win for the Dolphins, especially now that Phillips is no longer in town. Early in his career, Robinson has shown a propensity for getting to the quarterback, but he needs to round out the edges of his game in order to truly become the player Miami is hoping he will become. Earning more snaps down the stretch of the season should help him with his development.
Week 11’s clash with the Washington Commanders will be a bit unique for the Dolphins, as they are in Madrid, Spain, as part of the NFL’s international series. Like Miami, a lot has gone wrong for Washington this year, and it is dealing with several significant injuries that could tilt the scales in the Dolphins’ favor. With this game taking place overseas, kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday morning.
