Eagles Host Top 30 Visit for 6-foot-8, 318-Pound Big Ten OT

The Philadelphia Eagles might not have to use a 1st round pick to find the eventual replacement for NFL All-Pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson – although they might be able to steal a player who would have likely been a 1st round pick if not for an unfortunate injury.

The Eagles hosted University of Oregon offensive tackle Isaiah World on a Top 30 visit on Tuesday, no doubt hoping the 6-foot-8, 318-pounder drops to a Day 2 or Day 3 selection.

“Oregon LT Isaiah World is visiting with the Eagles today after previously visiting with the Chargers,” ESPN’s Field Yates wrote on his official X account. “World spent his final college season with the Ducks after four seasons at Nevada. He suffered an ACL tear in Oregon’s playoff game vs. Indiana, but is on track to be ready to return to action by late October.”

The NFL draft is April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.

Isaiah World Transferred to Oregon for 1 Season

World, a San Diego native, started 35 out of 36 games in 3 seasons at Nevada from 2022 to 2024 before transferring to Oregon for his final college season in 2025 on a reported 1-year, $1 million NIL contract.

“In terms of the offensive lineman market, World was a rarity because of his draft stock,” Sports Illustrated’s Mario Nordi wrote in August 2025. “World is a 6-8, 318-pounder projected to be drafted in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, according to a recent ESPN mock draft.”

World was the No. 1-ranked player in the transfer portal following the 2025 season and allowed just 1 sack in his lone season with the Ducks on the way to earning All-Big Ten honors.

According to Pro Football Focus, World graded out at 68.3 overall in 2025 — a number that went down considerably thanks to 6 penalties.
