Embattled Eagles OC’s Home Vandalized After Loss to Bears

It’s one thing to criticize Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo on social media.

It’s another thing to bring that beef into real life — and into Patullo’s hone.

According to ESPN’s Tim McManus, Patullo’s home was vandalized following Philadelphia’s loss to the Chicago Bears on Friday, November 28. It was the second consecutive loss to the Eagles.

“The New Jersey home of Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was vandalized with eggs early Saturday morning, according to the Moorestown Police Department,” McManus wrote on December 1. “The incident occurred after the Eagles’ 24-15 home loss to the Chicago Bears on Friday. A video surfaced on social media of multiple people appearing to throw objects at Patullo’s home. Online posts suggested it was rocks being thrown, but a Moorestown police representative clarified that it was eggs, adding that the investigation is still ongoing.”

Patullo is in his first season as the offensive coordinator for the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles after serving as quarterbacks coach and associate head coach.

Patullo Under Heavy Criticism for Terrible Offense

Patullo has taken a well-oiled engine that was the Eagles offense and seemed to turn it into a broken down wreck.

The Eagles are 8-4 headed into a Week 14 Monday Night Football road game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Eagles are 24th in total offense after 12 games.

hLast season the Eagles finished eighth in the NFL in total offense and were sixth in the NFL in total offense in the playoffs.

Patullo was hired as offensive coordinator to take over for current New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore.

“Plenty of finger-pointing will occur this week after another disappointing performance by the Eagles. Since the same issues continue to occur, Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator will receive the brunt of the vitriol,” Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski wrote on October 10. “It’s deserved, though. If every position group is misfiring at points, then the coaching staff isn’t doing a good enough job making sure the entire unit is prepared.”

Social Media Reacts To Scary Moment for Patullo

Philadelphia fans and their true colors were out in full force during the home loss to the Bears, where they booed incessantly as the Eagles offense crashed and burned once again.

Some felt some sympathy for Patullo and his family after the incident.

“From Good Morning Football to the idiots who egged Eagles OC Kevin Patullo’s house: I hope you see this and I hope you get caught,” NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo wrote on his official X account. “Boo. Chant ‘Fire Patullo.’ Have at it. But leave his family out of it.”

“Can you imagine what that was like at 2:50 AM when their house is getting pelted with eggs? Can you imagine how scary that was for his wife and kids?” former NFL player and podcast host Ross Tucker wrote on his official X account.

“Eagles fans can be disgusting,” Emmy winning sportscaster Howard Eskin wrote on his official X account on December 2. “And Eagles lack of offense is not his fault. The QB has to be better.”
