It’s a marvelous achievement for Kelsey Mitchell to achieve. Her remarkable scoring ability was something she developed over the years, having it bloom with the Fever.

Her excellent performance helped the Fever dominate the Storm 95-75 throughout Tuesday night.

The game was initially close as Indiana only led 26-20 after the first quarter. However, Seattle declined offensively while the hosts kept up their rhythm. This allowed the Fever to expand their lead so the Storm would be unable to come back from.

Shot accuracy and rebounding had huge impacts on this matchup. The Fever was red-hot with their shooting as they converted 50.7% of their total shot attempts, including 41.2% from three, while secured 42 rebounds. It wasn’t the same situation for the Storm as they made 47.5% of their overall shots, including 35.3% from deep, while getting just 21 rebounds.

Three players scored in double-digits on Indiana’s behalf, including Mitchell. Aliyah Boston led the way with 27 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals. She shot 10-of-18 overall, including 1-of-2 from downtown, and 6-of-9 from the charity stripe. Odyssey Sims came next with 22 points and six assists, while Natasha Howard provided six points and six assists.

Indiana improved to a 20-18 record on the season, holding the third spot of the Eastern Conference standings. They are three games behind the New York Liberty and 4.5 games behind the Atlanta Dream. With playoff aspirations on the line, they will not stop until they punch their ticket.

The Fever have had to go through most of the season without Caitlin Clark, who is on the sidelines due to injury. Despite that, Mitchell has massively stepped up on the court. She is averaging 20.4 points, 3.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game after 38 appearances. She is shooting 45.6% from the field, including 40.1% from three, and 77.9% at the line.

With six games remaining, the Fever will prepare for their next matchup, being on the road. They face the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. ET.
