The New York Giants announced another roster move on November 25, as team reporter Dan Salomone relayed the news ahead of the Week 13 Monday Night Football matchup with the New England Patriots.
“The Giants signed CB Myles Purchase to the practice squad,” Salomone informed on X, as others reacted on social media.
“Giants have signed CB Myles Purchase to the Practice Squad,” the Giants Nation Show podcast commented, adding: “He’s a 2025 [Los Angeles] Chargers UDFA out of Iowa State who was released from the Practice Squad earlier this month.”
Giants Nation Show host Bobby Skinner also shared a video of Purchase’s lone preseason interception, which occurred during the Hall of Fame game.
Purchase is listed at 5-foot-11. He appeared in 52 games for Iowa State from 2021 through 2024, recording 1 interception, 1.0 sack, and 145 total tackles.
Purchase has yet to suit up for a regular season NFL game. However, he appeared in all four Chargers preseason outings, logging 17 total tackles, 1 pass breakup, and the aforementioned interception.
The defensive back also returned 6 kickoffs in college for an average of 17.33 yards per return.
