‘I wasn’t going to tell you that…’ – Darts star risks wrath of partner after accidentally letting slip major secret

DIRK VAN DUIJVENBODE could be in a little bundle of trouble with his partner – after letting slip the ultimate family secret.

Even the Dutchman admitted “I wasn’t going to tell you that” after a jaw-dropping revelation to an interviewer at Premier League Darts 11.

He shared this snap of the couple’s first baby Levi a day after his birth

Van Duijvenbode was watching at Ahoy Rotterdam as Chris Dobey took the honours for the night, beating Stephen Bunting in the final.

And maybe the 32-year-old got carried away with the frenzied atmosphere in his home country.

The Titan already has one child with girlfriend Saskia Kokshoorn – son Levi, who was born in August 2023.

And when Van Duijvenbode loomed in front of the Viaplay cameras during a break at Rotterdam he was clearly on a high as he dished out an update.

Except it was a piece of EXTRA news he might later have regretted blurting out… once he got home!

Presenter Koert Westerman inquired: “Everything okay at home, and with the little one?”

Van Duijvenbode replied: “Yes, and number two is on the way, huh.”

Wide-eyed Westerman responded: “Are you serious? Congratulations, man.”

The Dutchman is clearly a proud dad – and a second child in on the way

Van Duijvenbode then confessed: “I wasn’t actually going to tell you that at all, by the way.”

However, he was obviously buoyed with joy because he laughed and added: “But it’s true!”

DVD, the winner of six PDC titles, went on to say: “Other than that, I’m also doing well, by the way.

“The shoulder injury I suffered from for a long period of time, I don’t really feel much, if at all, anymore.

“It’s all strong and my level is also going up, so I’m happy.”

But whether he was still smiling when he saw Saskia’s reaction to his very public telling of their very private news is unclear!
