Jadon Sancho has rejected two offers to leave Manchester United despite being firmly in Ruben Amorim’s bomb squad.

Sancho was left out of United’s matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Arsenal on Sunday.

Having been stripped of the No. 25 shirt last summer, Sancho did not even have a number next to his name in the Manchester United programme.

It was Amorim’s predecessor Erik ten Hag who sent Sancho on loan to Chelsea last season but the Portuguese boss has also decided to cut ties with the ex-England winger.

Sancho was told to find a new club this summer and placed in Amorim’s bomb squad along with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.

Despite accepting his United career is over, Sancho is yet to receive an offer he deems suitable and has rejected approaches from Roma and Besiktas.

Roma were leading the race to sign Sancho, who was in advanced talks with fellow Serie A club Juventus earlier in the summer, and approached Manchester United with an offer worth £20m.

United indicated they were ready to accept the proposal as they are keen to get Sancho off the books but the player has rejected the move.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Sancho’s agent has informed Roma that he is looking at other options, leading the Italians to move on to alternative targets.

Sancho has also rejected the chance to work with Old Trafford legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after snubbing interest from Turkish giants Besiktas.

It is claimed Sancho is not interested in a move to Turkey, though could change his mind if he is still in the transfer wilderness in the final week of the transfer window.

Much was expected of Sancho following his £73m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 but he has been a huge disappointment at Old Trafford.

Sancho was hoping to earn a permanent move to Chelsea after his loan spell at Stamford Bridge last season but the Blues decided to pay a £5m penalty to send him back to Manchester United.

As Sancho searches for a new home, he has been warned he will ‘never play for a big club again’ by former United striker Teddy Sheringham.

‘Jadon Sancho will definitely not play for a big club ever again,’ Sheringham told Snabbare. ‘He will probably tell you that he can and he will but not for me.

‘I see that he’s burned his bridges with the manager. He’s not even got a place in the changing room.

‘Maybe if he’d be given another chance he could work for what Amorim wants but I know from experience once you’ve gone down that path of being unhappy and wanting out that it’s very hard to turn it around with the manager, with the supporters, with the other players.

‘You’ve got to show an unbelievable mental desire to turn that around. It can be done, and I know he’s a talented lad, but I would be very, very surprised if that was the case now.’

As well as trying to offload Sancho, Manchester United are also keen to find new clubs for Garnacho and Antony before the transfer deadline.

The Red Devils remain in talks with Chelsea over a deal for Garnacho, while Antony has made it clear he wants to return to Real Betis.
