Jaguars’ Get Devastating News On Travis Hunter Injury

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are still reeling from surrendering a 19-point fourth-quarter lead on Sunday, just received the worst news they have gotten all year. Second overall draft pick Travis Hunter will be out for the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

“Sources: #Jaguars star CB/WR Travis Hunter underwent season-ending knee surgery, with eyes set on 2026,” NFL insider Ian Rappaport reports. “It was an LCL repair. He’s expected to return within 6 months to full football activities.”

ESPN insider Adam Schefter chimed in to provide the bright side of the devastating injury diagnosis, saying, “There was no additional damage beyond his LCL.”

The official team report called the knee surgery “successful,” but it is still a devastating blow to a promising season.

Travis Hunter’s Rookie Season In Review

How do you pass judgement on one of the most transcendental figures in professional sports? Hunter began his college career doing what everybody said he could not. He won the Heisman trophy, further silencing doubters that said that he could play both ways at the FCS level but wouldn’t last in the Big 12.

Despite the doubts, the Jaguars gave up a massive amount of draft capital to go up and get the 6-foot-1 two-way star.

In seven games Hunter caught 28 of his 45 targets, gained 298 yards, and recorded one touchdown.

Defensively, Hunter recorded 15 tackles and defended three passes.
