The Buffalo Bills are arguably the hottest team in the NFL after the first three weeks of the 2025 campaign. Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen appears to be in top form while leading the Bills’ offense, which looks like it may be the best in the league.
The main reason for the Bills’ success offensively is having Allen under center. Still, most of his success stems from the weapons he has on the field, including his wide receivers, star running back James Cook and a three-headed monster at the tight end position.
Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox and rookie Jackson Hawes form a talented trio for Buffalo. Kincaid and Allen spoke to the media this week and talked about why the tight end trio is so special.
Dalton Kincaid Leads Talented Bills Tight End Trio
Kincaid opened up about why the Bills are so special at tight end, making it tough for opposing defenses to contain this high-powered offense during the 2025 NFL season.
“They’ve got to cover every inch of the field,” Kincaid said. “We can run the ball, pass the ball or whatever it may be, and when you can have three tight ends out there that can do all three, that really helps out.”
Kincaid also spoke about what he’s seen from Hawes during the rookie’s first season with the team.
“Hawes is a dog,” Kincaid said of the rookie tight end. … “He’s a great addition. The tight end room is special. It has been special every year. So I think they do a good job of bringing in those types of guys, and Hawes is definitely one of them.”
In Week 4, the Bills will aim to capitalize on a winless New Orleans Saints team while continuing their dominance on their home field, Highmark Stadium. Kincaid shared his thoughts on facing the Saints and what they need to do to get their fourth win of the season on Sunday in Buffalo.
“They’re a good team,” Kincaid said. “I think we’re just going to have to come out with a fast start offensively, especially a one o’clock game. Start fast. Expect their best punch.”

As for Kincaid, Allen feels like he’s on the same page with the former first-round draft pick. The Bills’ superstar quarterback talked about where he’s at with his star tight end heading into Week 4 during a team press conference on Thursday.
“I feel like we’re in a good spot,” Allen said. “Obviously, continuing to grow each and every day. Coming out and practicing and making sure we’re still communicating, trying to get on the same page and stay on the same page, but the guy always finds himself in good positions. He does everything the right way. He’s following the football. He’s doing a good job of catching the ball and scoring.
“We love it when we can rely on somebody, that when you throw it up, they’re going to come down with it. He’s been proving to do that.
Over the course of the first three games, Kincaid has caught 13 passes for 151 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Clearly, Allen and Kincaid are clicking, which is a great sign for this offense moving forward.
