Josh Allen Makes Hailee Steinfeld Declaration Before Bills-Falcons Game

The Buffalo Bills‘ perfect season came to an end following their 23-20 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 5.

However, Bills quarterback Josh Allen is ready to get back into the win column when they face the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. “It’s an opportunity for us to take a step in the right direction,” Allen told reporters of the primetime matchup.

He said the team learned from its loss to the Patriots. “It does wake you up in terms of every week we’re going to get the team’s best, whoever we playings best.We gotta play up to our standard at the end of the day, this is the NFL. Each and every week has got to be earned, and that starts in practice.”

Helping Allen stay locked in this season is having the support of his wife, Hailee Steinfeld. The 29-year-old quarterback wears his wedding ring during every game.

Allen and Steinfeld tied the knot in Santa Barbara on May 31. While the Oscar-nominated actress keeps a low profile at games, she’s quietly attended nearly every Bills matchup since they first started dating over two years ago. The famous couple also share a special pregame date night tradition.

Before taking on the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Monday, October 13, Allen sent a clear message on Steinfeld’s role in his life.

Josh Allen Calls Wife, Hailee Steinfeld, ‘The Most Fulfilling Thing In His Life’

Speaking to ESPN before the Week 6 matchup, Allen gave Steinfeld a heartfelt shoutout.

While Allen is the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player, and signed a new six-year, $330 million contract with record-breaking $250 million guaranteed before the season started, all these accomplishments pale in comparison to marrying the “Sinners” star.

When asked what the most fulfilling part of his life is right now, “My wife,” Allen answers. “My wife is an unbelievable and undeniable rockstar in her work. In her life as a person — she’s everything I need in my life.”

The love and admiration are reciprocated. In an interview earlier this month, Steinfeld spoke about how her life changed after marrying the Bills quarterback. “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule,” Steinfeld told Variety.

“So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.

“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”

Josh Allen & Hailee Steinfeld Will ‘Always Be In The Honeymoon Phase,’ The Bills QB Says

During an appearance on Wave Original’s “Fitz & Whit” podcast with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth on September 3, Allen gushed over being a married man.

“It’s the best,” Allen said. “Honestly. I truly, I enjoy it, I love it. I think there’s a lot of freedom in it. And you know what? We’re always going to be in the honeymoon phase. How about that?…

“Going to Paris or Italy for fashion weeks, nobody over there knows who I am and we walk into a hotel and people are lined up trying to get photos, autographs and pictures and yeah, it’s pretty crazy. She’s a freaking rockstar. I love her and I don’t know how she does it, but she does it.”

Steinfeld already has her next film lined up, starring opposite Miles Teller in a romantic sports comedy, “Winter Games.”
