Josh Allen’s Wife Hailee Uses 7 Words to Describe Wedding to Bills QB

The Buffalo Bills take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their preseason finale on Saturday, August 23. However, Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen will not be active.

This marks the first time in Allen’s career that he won’t take at least one snap in the preseason. Bills head coach Sean McDermott made the final call earlier this week. “No. 1, that’s my job to adjust as need be,” McDermott said of the unexpected decision.

“You’ve got the reigning MVP, and I feel like he’s shown to this point that he’s in a good spot. Listen, he’s always going to want to play; that’s what competitive people want to do. But I have a responsibility to protect him and protect the team…. I feel good about where he is right now.”

With Allen on the sidelines, it’s doubtful that his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, will attend the matchup at Raymond James Stadium, especially since she’s set to appear at Fan Expo Canada on Sunday.

Steinfeld, however, always remains on his mind. The Oscar-nominated actress and Allen tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, on May 31.

During Buffalo’s preseason matchup against the Chicago Bears last week, the 29-year-old quarterback gave his wife a shoutout from the sideline.

“I mean, to have the support that I do at home, and to have someone that I share similar life interests with and wants in life, it’s an awesome feeling,” he told Pam Oliver. “I get to support somebody as much as she supports me. So, very happy, obviously.”

Hailee Steinfeld Gushed Over Marrying Josh Allen In Her Latest Newsletter

In the August 22 issue of Beau Society, Steinfeld couldn’t help but reflect on the couple’s wedding while interviewing makeup artist Mary Phillips, who did her makeup on the big day. The “Sinners” star referred to their nuptials as “the most magical weekend of my life.”

She wrote, “Mary has done my makeup countless times over the years for award shows, photoshoots, and most recently, my wedding…

“I was so beyond grateful to have you part of what I knew would be the most magical weekend of my life. The minute you (and Gregory) were on board, I knew I wouldn’t have a single stressful thought about glam. I trust you and your technique immensely!”

Steinfeld previously shared numerous intimate details from their wedding weekend in Beau Society. She wrote in the wedding issue, “It was blue skies, 75 and sunny the entire weekend. Except the coolest thing happened after we got married:

“We walked off the aisle to ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),’ and it started thundering. No rain, just thunder and lightning. Magical.”

“Entering our reception for the first time was unforgettable. So much JOY. And the flowers! The red candelabras! The dance floor! The stage! The chandeliers?!! All of our people! The flow of the reception was dance, speech, cry, dance, eat, dance, speech, cry, dance, etc. Our parents and siblings gave the most touching speeches.”

Bills QB Josh Allen Called His Wife, Hailee Steinfeld, ‘The Woman Of My Dreams’

Speaking to NFL Network during training camp in July, Tom Pelissero asked what a “12-year-old Josh Allen” would think of what he’s accomplished so far. “Pretty cool,” he answered. “I got to marry the woman of my dreams, my best friend.

“I get to play football for a living, that’s my favorite thing to do. In the offseason, I get to hang out with my family and golf a little bit. So yeah, it’s no too bad.”

During the season premiere of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” featuring the Bills, Allen called his wedding “the best night of my life, honestly. And my wife’s life. I think that’s what she says, so.”
