Justin Herbert, Madison Beer Confirm Relationship After Travis Kelce Smackdown

For most ordinary people, an 11-hour flight would be exhausting. But for Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, the trip back from Brazil appeared to have little effect. The Chargers opened their 2025 season in São Paulo on Friday night by stunning the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs 27-21. On Saturday night, about 24 hours later, Herbert took his new girlfriend, pop star Madison Beer, on a dinner date at a chi-chi West Hollywood celebrity hot spot.

Herbert has generally kept his personal life under wraps as much as possible, but in a city such as Los Angeles filled with famous people and the photographers who shadow them, that may prove increasingly difficult. Herbert, 27, has been rumored to be dating the 26-year-old “Selfish” singer since mid-August, when he was spotted hanging out with Beer on the set of her latest video shoot.

QB Takes Pop Star to Upscale ‘Supper Club’

But neither Herbert nor Beer made any public statement about their purported relationship, and they still haven’t. But after Saturday’s outing with Herbert freshly back from his triumphant trip to Brazil, there appears to be no doubt. The pair were spotted hand-in-hand exiting the exclusive eatery Delilah at 7969 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, an upscale, independent city nestled into the heart of Los Angeles.

The self-styled “supper club,” featuring live music and even burlesque dancers to go with high-priced culinary offerings such as the “slutty brownie” named after Kendall Jenner, is a favorite of the rich and famous in Los Angeles, with regular patrons reportedly including Jenner herself, the rapper Drake, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and others.

Herbert Latest NFL Star With Celeb Gal Pal

Herbert, the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year, now joins the ranks of NFL superstars in romantic relationships with stars of pop music and Hollywood.

Earlier this year, Buffalo Bills quarterback and 2024 NFL MVP Josh Allen married Sinners star and “Most Girls” singer Hailee Steinfeld.

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been dating rap superstar Cardi B at least since May. And of course, most famously, Chiefs future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce in August became engaged to global pop mega-star Taylor Swift.

Herbert Has Outstanding Start to NFL Season

By what must be a coincidence, Herbert and the Chargers got the better of Kelce and his team on Friday in Brazil, holding the future Mr. Swift to just two catches on four targets, though one of Kelce’s receptions did go for a touchdown in the Chiefs’ losing cause. Otherwise, Kelce was ineffective against the Los Angeles pass defense.

In that game, Herbert clearly outplayed three-time Super Bowl winning Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, completing 25 of 34 pass attempts for 318 yards and three touchdowns, to 24-39 for 258 and one TD for Mahomes.

Capping off his weekend by taking Beers on a date, few NFL players could be said to have recorded a better start to the 2025 season than Herbert, the Chargers’ 2020 first round draft pick out of Oregon.

“Beer’s wearing a tight, low-cut crop top… while Herbo dressed casually in a black t-shirt and jeans … and, both could barely contain their grins as they left the place,” reported the celebrity news and gossip site TMZ, in its account of the Herbert-Beer Delilah evening.

Offensive Linemen Accompany Herbert, Beer on Date

In an unusual touch, Herbert appears to have brought along two of the Chargers whose duty it is to protect him on the football field, offensive linemen Joe Alt and Trey Pipkins III.

Whether the two linemen were there to keep Herbert and Beer safe on the West Hollywood streets, or if the quarterback was simply rewarding them for a job well done on Friday, or something else, remains unclear.
