One of the biggest power couples in sports, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods, have been together for five years. Towns has revealed the secret to their relationship that began during a tough time in his life.
In an interview with Haute Living, Towns opened up about her romance with Woods and how they keep it together despite their busy schedule. Humor is a big part of it, but for KAT, it’s important for him to get intellectually challenged.
“I definitely like stimulating conversation; that’s always been my thing. That’s what me and Jordyn have always had. And that’s what’s kept us always on our toes,” Towns said.
The couple loves attending big events in their free time, but it’s the small things for Towns and Woods that make the relationship work. They have been together since May 2020 and went public four months later, as per People.com.
Towns and Woods have known each other previously through mutual friends, but the pandemic brought them closer. When KAT’s mother, Jackie, passed away because of COVID-19 in April 2020, Woods was one of the shoulders he leaned on.

Lee Escobedo of Bleacher Report released the list of the Top 10 of Sports-World Power Couples back in July. Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods sat at the top of the list, beating out Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird, and Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens.
“Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods deserve recognition not just for their combined star power but also for how they’ve navigated public life with a depth and dignity that transcends celebrity optics. … Together, they’ve been a model of mutual healing. But what made Towns and Woods a big power couple? KAT plays for the New York Knicks, the biggest team on the biggest market in the United States. Woods, on the other hand, is an entrepreneur and has built a business portfolio in fashion. She’s got a reported net worth of around $6 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
KAT Underwent Changes in the Offseason
In preparation for the upcoming season, Karl-Anthony Towns reportedly shed a few pounds this past summer. According to Newsday’s Steve Popper, KAT wanted to lose some weight so that he could be an effective power forward.
With Mitchell Robinson healthy and likely starting more games, Towns is going to be playing more as a PF under coach Mike Brown. He’ll need to be more agile and quick against bigger players, but stronger against smaller defenders.
Towns is coming off his first season with the New York Knicks, averaging 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. The Knicks are going to need him to be at his best since the Eastern Conference is wide open due to injuries to Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton.
New York boasts a roster consisting of KAT, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby.
