Lamar Jackson Fires Back at ‘Weirdo’ Account for Posting Viral Video

The reeling Baltimore Ravens are expected to have Lamar Jackson back for Week 8. And while the quarterback prepares for his return, he apparently set aside some time for late-night social media patrol.

Just a few days before making his presumed return from a hamstring injury for the 1-5 Ravens, Jackson had the popular social media account, “Dov Kleiman,” in the crosshairs.

The account posted a video shortly before midnight ET on Oct. 21, showing Jackson getting a late-night snack from a food truck. It’s unclear when exactly this happened, but the video, which the account titled “TRENDING,” came with a caption that surely caught the QB’s eye.

“Ravens star QB Lamar Jackson has gone viral for looking extremely high while buying street food past midnight,” the Dov Kleiman account posted to X. “We have never seen an NFL player this fried.”

That prompted a reply from Jackson less than an hour later.

Lamar Jackson Takes Exception to Viral ‘Fried’ Video

Now, it can’t be said with certainty that Jackson was talking about the Dov account, but all the evidence points to the polarizing account being his target. Jackson obviously doesn’t mention the account or tag it, but he did reply to a follower who pressed him on why he didn’t do so, and Jackson had a good reply.

“To give his lame ah more attention? Naw he know who I’m talking to,” Jackson replied to one tweet.

Despite that, the video post had more than 2.5 million views by the next morning. Jackson’s tweet at the same time, meanwhile, had yet to crack 600,000 views.

Who Runs Popular NFL Social Media Account Dov Kleiman?

At one point, the Dov Kleiman account was seen as a borderline must-follow NFL account. The New York Post profiled the man behind the account in 2023 and discovered Kleiman was a former BroBible and Outkick the Coverage contributor.

Kleiman has been polarizing, though. He largely built his following on aggregating high-level reporters with actual scoops, repurposing them in a way that got him as much, if not more, engagement than the actual source.

There have been a few instances over the years where Kleiman has been the subject of scorn on Football Twitter. One of those came in 2024 when he tweeted and then deleted a post claiming a 26-year-old was pregnant with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis’ child. The woman, Hayden Hopkins, quickly shot it down.

“Dov Kleiman is someone who has copied content from reporters & journalists then gave his own spin on it,” X user Tyler Weiss said in 2024, a tweet that has been viewed more than 3.5 million times. “Now he spread misinformation that poured salt in the wound for a woman to the point where she decided to speak out.

“His account is unethical. He doesn’t deserve a platform.”

At some point, Kleiman’s account became increasingly clickbait-y, even by the account’s initial standards. Barstool Sports’ Jack Mac reported shortly after the Hopkins incident that the actual Kleiman sold the account, claiming the “current owner of his account is an engagement farmer through aggregation.”
