Lamar Jackson’s Dominant Return Sends Ravens Soaring in Week 10 Power Rankings

The Baltimore Ravens have clawed their way back into the AFC North conversation. After a rough start to the 2025 season, the team has now won back-to-back games — including a dominant 28-6 victory over the Miami Dolphins in primetime. With momentum finally on their side, Lamar Jackson and company are looking ahead to their Week 10 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

As the Ravens fight to get back above .500, national pundits are taking notice. Across the board, Baltimore climbed the NFL power rankings this week, moving from the bottom half of the league toward playoff contention.

Ravens Power Rankings: Analysts Show Renewed Faith

After their Thursday night statement win, most outlets have moved the Ravens up several spots in the Week 10 rankings. Jackson’s return — and his near-flawless performance — helped remind analysts why Baltimore is always a threat when healthy.

Sports Illustrated (No. 14, up from 15):

Because he missed games, we’re not going to give Lamar Jackson the benefit of putting the proper perspective on what he’s done through his first five starts, which yielded league highs and career highs in touchdown percentage, average yards gained per attempt and QB rating per game (136!). Oh, and he has just one pick, wrote Conor Orr.

ESPN (No. 19, up from 22):

Jamison Hensley pointed to the tight race in the AFC North:It looks like a two-team race in the AFC North. According to ESPN Analytics, the Steelers have a 48.2% chance to win the division, while the Ravens have a 46.4% chance.”

The Ringer (No. 16, up from 18):

Diante Lee said the team’s performance in Miami could be a turning point:Quarterback Lamar Jackson is healthy and looked every bit like the two-time MVP he’s been at his best… If he’s healthy and the defense is back to playing competent football, it’ll be only a couple of weeks before Baltimore is right back in the thick of the playoff race.”

Lamar Jackson’s Return Sparks Confidence

Several outlets highlighted Jackson’s dominant showing in Miami as the catalyst behind Baltimore’s rankings surge. NFL.com’s Eric Edholm wrote,It’s amazing what two victories in a five-day span can do for the soul, as well as the playoff hopes. From 1-5 to Lamar Jackson throwing for four TDs in his return is a pretty amazing swing for a team you suddenly can’t count out.”

Bleacher Report echoed that optimism, noting,Baltimore looked a lot more like the Super Bowl contender we expected and less like the tomato can we got over the season’s first two months.”

The site credited both sides of the ball for the turnaround, praising running back Derrick Henry’s 119-yard performance and a defense thatheld the Dolphins out of the end zone and forced three turnovers.”

Even outlets that kept Baltimore in the middle of the pack — like The Athletic (No. 19) and Sporting News (No. 19) — acknowledged that the team’s health is trending in the right direction. The Ravens have lost three games with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, but they were against the Bills, Chiefs and Lions, wrote The Athletic’s Chad Graff and Josh Kendall.Even with the slow start, our playoff predictor still gives them a 55 percent chance of reaching the postseason.”

The Ravens now sit at 3-5, just a game behind the Steelers in the AFC North. Their next test comes on Sunday, November 9, when they travel to Minneapolis to face the 4-4 Minnesota Vikings.

Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET at U.S. Bank Stadium, airing on FOX. A third straight win could solidify Baltimore’s comeback and keep them firmly in the playoff race.
