The Detroit Lions are in a tougher spot than they were just a few weeks ago, with a 7-5 record and solidly in third place in the NFC North. It’s a far cry from where they were last season, when the Lions were No. 1 in the NFC at the end of the regular season.
Detroit lions head coach Dan Campbell knows that they have an uphill battle from here. During a press conference after the team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, Campbell said, “It’s really kind of what it came down to. Like I told the team, it’s frustrating, I know. We got a lot to be thankful for, even after a loss.”
Later in the conference, Campbell continued, “Well, I guess what I’m saying is this, just with kind of where we’re at with the division. It’s more that you need a little help. You’ve got to do your job, you’ve got to win and you need a little help.”
He added, “And that’s what it is. But it all starts with you doing your job, which is us, and finding a way to win the next one in front of us. It really is that simple. Don’t make more of it than need be. It’s frustrating, it sucks, it’s tough, but we did it to ourselves and we’re the only ones who are going to get out of it as well.”
But, it’s getting more difficult for the Detroit Lions, because they have injured players. Now, one of those injured players has wiped his social media totally clean.
No More Social Media for One Detroit Lions Player, In a Concerning Move
Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph is really needed right now. He’s a passionate player, and he wanted to be back. But, he’s missed the past six weeks due to knee injuries.
According to a report from Michael Colwander of SideLion Report out on Tuesday, December 2, “On Monday, Joseph posted a story on his Instagram account that simply said, ‘God Help Me’ in white letters on a black background. Joseph, who is typically active on social media, cleared his Instagram photos and deleted his X account.”
So, people who follow Joseph have been concerned about the state of his mental health and how his injury progress is coming along. Thankfully, according to Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network, there’s “nothing new” and that Joseph is just taking a break from social media, stating it’s “just fatigue from injury talk and speculation.”
The Status of Kerby for the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys Game
Social media can be a difficult spot, and it’s no wonder Joseph wanted to get off there. Campbell spoke to the press on Sunday, November 30, and sounded positive about Joseph’s status.
“He’s closer than he was before. You know, he’s close,” he said. “We’ll know a lot more really tomorrow…but he is getting better. Like we said, he gets better every week.”
When asked whether Joseph’s injuries are chronic and long-term, Campbell said, “I don’t think it’s necessarily going away” but that they were trying to “manage” the injury.
