The 17-year-old made his debut for the Yorkshire club at the start of this season and has remained a regular in Daniel Farke’s team ever since.
The midfielder, who can also operate at full-back, has made 14 Championship appearances, 12 of which have been in the starting XI, and he has caught the eye while doing so.
The Daily Mail report that the prospect is already being valued at between £40m and £50m, which would make him an enormous investment for any of the interested parties if they make a bid in 2024.
Leeds are going very well in the Championship under Daniel Farke this season, sitting third in the table, although already six points behind Ipswich in second.
Farke spoke out about Gray and his impressive versatility last month, saying: ‘First of all, we are not here just to make sure we develop Archie in a perfect position. Although we love Archie and want to develop him and I have a reputation perhaps to bring some young players through and bring them on to another level, our main target is that we as Leeds United want to be successful.
‘By doing this, if we can then develop and help our players, not just the young players in our squad all of them, that’s also quite beneficial. I spoke before the last game about this topic.
‘He is capable to play in different positions because of his skills and that’s definitely great value. He can play the full-back position, I think his natural position is obviously the midfield but we will see how his position develops over the next months and years.
‘For Archie, it’s definitely not a bad choice at times. We don’t play him there [full-back] just to develop him, it’s more we’ve got the feeling for this game, we need a player there who is capable to handle the pace and the speed and the mobility of the opponent’s wingers.’
