Packers Announce Micah Parsons Pro Bowl Voting Update

The Green Bay Packers are 8-3-1 going into a huge NFC North showdown against the first-place Chicago Bears, who sit at 9-3.

The Bears are the No. 1 seed in the NFC in a surprising turn of events, but the Packers are right in the hunt.

Green Bay is coming off a huge NFC North win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. The Packers beat the Lions, 31-24, in Detroit as Jordan Love threw four touchdown passes and Dontavyion Wicks caught two of them.

As Green Bay prepares to face Chicago, the first round of Pro Bowl votes was released, and there was a promising announcement regarding star pass rusher Micah Parsons.

Micah Parsons Earning Plenty of Pro Bowl Votes

After the votes were revealed, the Packers shared that Parsons had the third-highest votes in the NFL as of Monday.

“Micah Parsons is THIRD amongst all players in Pro Bowl voting! Daily reminder to cast your Pro Bowl votes for our guys,” the Packers posted on X.

Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com mentioned another fact about the voting regarding Parsons.

“Packers defensive end Micah Parsons not only is the top vote-getter at his position but also has received the third-most votes of any NFL player in the opening days of fan balloting for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games.”

Parsons is having another standout season after being traded by the Dallas Cowboys right before the season.

Through 12 games, the former Penn State star has 18 solo tackles with 12.5 sacks. In 2024, he had 12 sacks in 13 games, so he has already eclipsed that number.

Parsons’ career-high is 14 sacks, which came in 2023, so he is well on his way to breaking that number.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network posted the top-10 players in voting, and here are the players in front of Parsons:

  1. Patriots QB Drake Maye: 31,452
  2. Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 27,162
  3. Packers DE Micah Parsons: 25,155

A flurry of other Green Bay players made the top 10 in voting at their positions, with Matthew Orzech at long snapper and Evan Williams at special teams at No. 1.

Voting Aligns With Parsons’ Thanksgiving Day Comments

On Thanksgiving Day, Parsons had four solo tackles with 2.5 sacks, marking his third straight game with one or more sacks and his second consecutive game with two or more sacks.

After the win, he left no doubt about how well he has played this season, via Fox Sports.

“Going into Year 5, this was the year I thought I was going to make my big jump. I was going to be the best defensive player in the league. I feel like I’m doing that,” Parsons said.

“I’m hitting on all facets in the run game, pass game and understanding situations,” he added. “Just the full game. As a player, you’re just young, growing and very talented, but you’re still trying to find a way to put it all together. I feel like this is the year for me.”

So far, that seems to be the case as he leads all defensive players in Pro Bowl voting so far.

Parsons needs just two sacks to post a career-high, although he is half a sack behind New York Giants star Brian Burns and 6.5 sacks behind Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett, who has a whopping 19 sacks entering Week 14.

But, for now, Parsons is ahead of Garrett in the voting. The fan voting goes all the way until December 15.
