Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are certainly a powerful duo in sports and entertainment. Even though the Chiefs are incredibly important to Mahomes, it’s safe to say that his No. 1 priority is and always will be his family.
So, during the offseason, Mahomes is able to spend much more time with his family. But, now, the season is starting to kick in, and the Kansas City Chiefs have been back to practice, so Patrick’s attention is divided between his family and the team, which is really his other family.
But, of course, his family is never far from him. Brittany makes sure that stays the case even during the season.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Gets Surprise Visit
During Mahomes’ first week back at practice, Brittany just couldn’t stay away, and she surprised him with a visit. It’s certainly a regular thing to see Brittany and the family visiting Mahomes at practice, but this marked the first time they’ve made a visit as the team prepares for the 2025-26 season.

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is Still the Top
So, how does Mahomes look heading into the new season? He’s looking good. In ESPN’s tally of the best quarterbacks in the league going into the 2025-26 season, Patrick is named the No. 1 best quarterback, again. For the feature, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN talked to coaches, executives and scouts to name their top quarterbacks in the league going into the 2025-26 season.
Patrick is No. 1, but Fowler had a bit of caution for him. “Mahomes’ grip on the top spot is loosening slightly,” he stated. “After dominating the voting with back-to-back No. 1 rankings in convincing fashion, Mahomes garnered around 60% of the first-place votes this year, which is still impressive but well short of last year, when he received all but one first-place vote.”
But, Fowler adds that “Mahomes still leads the NFL in virtually every passing category — from passing yards to touchdowns and yards per attempt — since becoming the starter in 2018.” That’s something that should not be forgotten.
Coming in at No. 2 was Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, followed by Joe Burrow at No. 3. It’s great to see Mahomes continue to get selected as the top quarterback in the league, and hopefully that will give him some positive vibes going into the new season. There’s less than two months to go until the Chiefs play their first regular season game, and we’re ready.
