Thomas Tuchel must find a solution at right-back after losing Reece James to injury ahead of the World Cup clash with Panama.
The Three Lions finish their group campaign in New Jersey tonight where they will be expected to get the win that will see them progress to the knockout stages as group winners.
Tuchel made two changes to his starting XI midweek against Ghana as England toiled in Boston and there will be at least one tweak to that team tonight with James sidelined.
The Chelsea captain has suffered a hamstring injury that rules him out for at least the next two games. Jarell Quansah and Trevoh Chalobah are bothcapable of moving out to cover that position, as is Ezri Konsa who has started both games so far at centre-half.

Djed Spence could be the most likely option, however. The Tottenham full-back started at left-back against Ghana with Nico O’Reilly rested that evening but could be drafted into the team in his more natural position.
Despite doubts over their fitness in recent days, both Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson have been passed fit. Tuchel may take the opportunity to rest one of them with Rice a booking away from a suspension. The Arsenal star was also seen limping after the Ghana draw having been managing a back injury since the turn of the year.
Anderson, whose move to Manchester City was finally agreed this week, also picked up a minor issue against the Black Stars. Kobbie Mainoo is waiting in the wings for his first appearance of the competition and will hope for his chance.
Bukayo Saka is still to start a game due to the Achilles injury that saw him miss five games for Arsenal in April. His club teammate Noni Madueke has deputised in his place thus far but Tuchel has indicated Saka is ‘ready to go’ after coming through recent training sessions unscathed and with no complaints.
Anthony Gordon has done little to justify another starting role with Marcus Rashford ready to step in.
England XI to face Panama – Metro prediction
Marc Guehi returned to the starting XI against Ghana and will hope to keep his place in the side at the expense of John Stones.
Replacing James will be Tuchel’s most pressing matter but there could also be starting roles for Saka and Rashford along with a change in midfield.
England cruised to a 6-1 the last time these two nations met – should the Three Lions be able to take similar control of the contest early on, there will be ample opportunity for changes.
