Raiders WR Jack Bech Sends Strong Message on Opportunity in Broncos Game

The Las Vegas Raiders have been a mess so far in the 2025 campaign, as they have just a 2-10 record through their first 12 games. It seems like a full-scale rebuild could be in the cards in the near future, but before that happens, the team has to find a way to get through its remaining five games this season.

Among the things that have not gone right for Las Vegas is the development of rookie wide receiver Jack Bech. For whatever reason, Bech has been buried on the depth chart all year long, but ahead of the team’s upcoming action in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos, the former TCU Horned Frogs star made it clear he knows he’s got a big opportunity in front of him on Sunday.

Jack Bech Looking to Step Up for Raiders vs. Broncos

The Raiders had high hopes for Bech this season, as they selected him in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. And yet, Bech has found himself bogged down in Las Vegas’ miserable offense this season. Through 12 games, Bech has caught just 10 passes for 114 yards, with many folks being confused as to why he’s not receiving more of an opportunity down the stretch of the regular season.

Even in the wake of the team’s decision to trade Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bech has struggled to find consistent snaps on offense. Instead, the Raiders have been relying on Tre Tucker, Donte Thornton Jr., and Tyler Lockett as their top wide receiver trio. That has left Bech on the sidelines for the majority of games, despite his obvious potential.

In Week 14, Las Vegas won’t have Thornton at its disposal, meaning more snaps will be coming Bech’s way. Despite his disappointing rookie season, Bech has kept a level-headed mentality throughout the year, and while it may seem like this game is more important for him, he’s treating it like just another week.

“Each and every game (is important),” Bech simply said when asked if he sees the team’s upcoming contest as a big opportunity for himself. “It’s definitely something I love about the game, is just that constant self-improvement you have for yourself.”

Whatever the true reason may be for Bech’s struggles this year, it would all be water under the bridge if he can show off his potential over the final few games of the regular season. With there being nothing left to play for this season in Las Vegas, it would be wise for the team to get Bech some more snaps to see what he could be capable of moving forward.

Considering how the Raiders have a tough matchup against the 10-2 Broncos on their hands in Week 14, they are going to need all the help they can get, especially with Thornton already being out for this game. A big game from Bech could be an unexpected development that catches Denver off guard, and he certainly is capable of making plays when called upon. Kickoff for Las Vegas’ upcoming game is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
