Head coach Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams were waiting for further testing and player response. However, it appears they have avoided anything of substance with Davante Adams and Kyren Williams.
McVay met with the media via teleconference on Monday. He relayed the good news on two of the teamâs most integral contributors. Williams has become one of the NFLâs top rushers, while Adams has continued his dominant ways in a specialized role.
Both playersâ statuses were sources of intrigue for the Rams.

Williams briefly exited the Ramsâ Week 13 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 13 with an ankle injury. He was able to finish out the contest. Adams did not exit the game, but he dealt with a hip issue earlier in the season.
According to McVay, Adams was sore on Monday, while Williamsâ ankle responded well to whatever treatment he received during the contest and postgame.
âCame out fairly clean,â McVay told reporters on December 1. âSome of your typical bumps and bruises. Kyrenâs ankle was pretty good today. He came back in the game. I thought he competed his tail off. Davante had a little bit of soreness in his hamstring, but nothing that we expect to restrict guys from being available this week. Might limit some guys in practice once we see how they come in [Tuesday], but nothing that we expect to affect game statuses for Arizona.â
Neither Adams nor Williams has missed time this season.
Adams leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 14, while Williams ranks in the top 15 in attempts, yards per carry, and touchdowns, and is ninth in rushing yards. The Rams rank fourth in the passing game but are 19th in the run, largely due to their lean towards the former.
Rams Still in Holding Pattern on Tutu Atwell

McVay and the Rams drew attention ahead of the Panthers game, suggesting that wide receiver Tutu Atwell was set to return from injured reserve, where he has been since Week 7 due to a hamstring issue.
However, that did not happen.
Moreover, McVay suggested that the Rams may not get Atwell back for their Week 14 showdown against the Cardinals, either.
âWeâll see. Itâs one of those deals,â McVay told media members. âI love Tutu. Love everything heâs about. Would like to be able to figure out a way to get him going and get him involved, and if that fits for the collective, relative to the 48[-man game-day roster]. And thereâs a lot of factors in that. And once we get going on the game plan, want to try to be able to figure out how to do that. But have to be able to have some other things that are in alignment before I can give you a clear-cut answer on it.
âThereâs not a problem [with Atwell not playing special teams]. Heâs done everything he can control. Whatâs unfortunate is you get a hamstring, and youâre out for an extended period of time. And then, certain roles and rhythms are established, relative to special teams and how Chase [Blackburn] and Ben [Kotwica] are fielding certain groups, where youâre pulling from both offense and defense.â
McVay again referenced the 48-man game-day roster when speaking on Atwell. Atwell re-signed with the Rams on a one-year, $10 million contract this past offseason. However, he was not heavily involved in the offense behind Adams and Puka Nacua before his injury.
