The Los Angeles Rams have some of the best offensive weapons in the league for quarterback Matthew Stafford heading into the next season.
Third-year receiver Puka Nacua, running back Kyren Williams, and now Davante Adams, who signed a two-year deal with the Rams this offseason.
ESPN senior NFL writer Bill Barnwell ranked the WR-TE-RB groups for all 32 teams in the league and named the Rams the fifth-best.
“If you could guarantee 17 games from the Rams’ big three at their 2024 levels of play, they might challenge to rank No. 1 here,” Barnwell wrote for ESPN. “Puka Nacua missed six games and still came within a screen of making it to 1,000 yards, as his 3.7 yards per route run comfortably led the NFL. Kyren Williams ranked sixth in rushing yards per game despite not having a single run top 30 yards… Davante Adams — who was added by L.A. in free agency — brought in 576 receiving yards and six scores from December 1 onward, ranking among the league leaders in both categories.”
“These guys are all great players, so while I have my reservations about the Rams getting the most out of Adams, it would hardly be a surprise if they all garnered Pro Bowl consideration.”
The Tight Ends Group

The Rams will have tight end Tyler Higbee ready for the start of the new season after missing most of the 2024-25 season after recovering from a torn ACL and MCL. The longtime Ram was able to record two touchdowns in three games last season.
The Rams also drafted tight end Terrance Ferguson in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Head coach Sean McVay spoke to Adam Schein of SiriusXM and mentioned the future with the second-round draft pick.
“For us to be able to go back, still get a player that we would’ve felt good with earlier in terms of where we would’ve drafted him, was a really big deal,” McVay said, via RamsWire. “I’m excited about how it unfolded. I give a ton of credit to Tony Pastoors, obviously Les and our group, but it worked out really well and we were super excited about being able to come away with Terrance Ferguson, who we have big plans for.”
Higbee hasn’t had a 700-yard-plus reception season in the 2019-20 season. The TE has failed to tie his touchdown reception high since the 2021-22 season.
Barnwell mentioned it would benefit the Rams if Ferugson can help the team sooner or later.
Skepticism of Offensive Weapons

While the position players on the Rams have good seasonal stats, Barnwell questions if the players can live up to those numbers.
Barnwell mentions that Williams has 8 fumbles in the last two seasons, including 5 fumbles last season. Citing that Davante Adams has been on a decline since the 2023 season.
If players aren’t able to perform, Barnwell mentioned it would be great for the Rams — or any NFL team — if a young player broke out.
The ESPN writer specifically mentioned receivers Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington as players who can impact the field if given more playing time.
