At one point in time, Cooper Kupp was considered to be perhaps the best wide receiver in the NFL while catching passes from star quarterback Matthew Stafford on the Los Angeles Rams. Stafford and Kupp had remarkable chemistry and were able to capitalize on it to win a Super Bowl title.
However, Kupp’s time with the Rams began to get marred by injuries, which ultimately led to a parting of the ways, with the veteran wideout ending up signing with the Seattle Seahawks to start a new chapter in his career.
Before his time with the Rams came to an end, he became the ideal mentor for up-and-coming wide receiver Puka Nacua. This mentorship paid off tremendously for Nacua, as the young wideout is now in the conversation for being one of the best players at his position in the NFL.
Puka Nacua’s Thoughts on Facing Former Rams WR Cooper Kupp

Heading into Week 11, the Rams and Seahawks are sporting identical 7-2 records while sitting atop the NFC West division standings. These two teams could be the best in the NFC this season, or at least at this point in the 2025 campaign, which makes Sunday’s game perhaps the biggest and most important of the week.
Along with all that is at stake in this divisional showdown between these NFC heavyweights, Kupp will be playing his former team, which has transitioned into Nacua being the primary target downfield just ahead of veteran newcomer Davante Adams.
Nacua opened up about facing his former teammate and mentor ahead of Sunday’s matchup at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
“A foreign feeling for sure,” Nacua said of facing his former Rams teammate during media availability on Friday. “I know I’m excited to see him. We’ve exchanged some texts. You have some games that you remember the dates and this has been one that I’m excited for. It’s the next one for us. It’s a big one and it’s the one we’re preparing for, but I’ll be excited to see No. 10 for sure.”
Nacua’s career has skyrocketed over the past couple of seasons, as he’s struck up the same kind of chemistry that Kupp had with Stafford. It’s been a winning combination that could last a few more years if Stafford decides to keep playing beyond this season.
Nacua Determined to Get One Thing from Kupp

With the Rams and Seahawks set to go head-to-head this weekend in Los Angeles, Nacua is determined to do a jersey swap with Kupp after the game, regardless of the outcome.
The up-and-coming wideout made it clear that he won’t be happy if someone else on his team gets Kupp’s jersey.
“Honestly I’m hoping that he doesn’t take it off, because if I see him take it off to somebody else, I might hit somebody on our team,” Nacua said. “Respectfully.”
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for the Rams and Seahawks on Sunday and for the rest of the season, for that matter, as it will likely come down to these two teams for the division title and possibly could result in a playoff showdown in the coming months.
