It’s okay, Baltimore Ravens fans. You can breathe a huge sigh of relief. After popping up on the injury report on Wednesday with a knee injury, two-time MVP QB Lamar Jackson was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Thursday’s update puts Jackson on track to start in Week 11 against the Browns.
Jackson did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, sparking concern over his availability for Sunday’s game. After missing three games with a hamstring injury earlier this season, missing more time would have been a major blow for the Ravens — though it looks like he’ll play, barring any setbacks.
On the season, Jackson has thrown for 1,249 yards and 15 touchdowns to just one interception at a 70.1 percent completion rate. He’s also added 216 yards and a touchdown on the ground. From an efficiency standpoint, Jackson is having arguably his best season yet. Of course, the three games he missed and Baltimore’s overall struggles have kept him out of the MVP discussion, at least for now.
The Baltimore Ravens are Rapidly Gaining Ground in the AFC North

After a brutal 1-5 start to the season that included losses to the Bills, Lions, Chiefs, Texans, and Rams, Baltimore is now 4-5, having won three straight. That opening stretch is as tough a gauntlet as exists in the NFL, and the Ravens’ lone victory came over the Browns in Week 2, a 41-17 win.
Since then, however, as their schedule has softened and the Ravens have gotten healthier, they’ve won three straight. That includes the last two with Jackson, as the Ravens are staring to flex their muscles with a 22-point win over the Dolphins followed by an eight-point win over the Vikings. Both wins came on the road.
Now things get a lot easier for Baltimore. The Ravens have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league, starting this week against Cleveland. After that, they face the Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, and Steelers. Only the Patriots and Packers are more than one game above .500 as of this writing.
And in the AFC North, the Ravens are just one game behind the Steelers for the division lead. With both games against Pittsburgh yet to come, that is a tenuous lead at best, especially since the Steelers are just 1-3 in their last four games.
The Baltimore Ravens are Getting Healthier
It’s not just Jackson, though he’s obviously the most important player for the Ravens. Other key contributors who have missed time have been starting to return over the last few weeks. That includes players such as LB Roquan Smith, LT Ronnie Stanley, TE Isaiah Likely, and ED Kyle Van Noy.
Some, unfortunately, will not return this season. That group notably includes All-Pro DT Nnamdi Madubuike. But a healthier Ravens squad is a dangerous one, and the rest of the AFC better watch out.
