It sure looks like veteran Case Keenum will be the Washington Redskins starter when September comes calling.
With Colt McCoy still sidelined to injury, Keenum will get his second consecutive start to open the preseason against the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday evening.
According to Redskins head coach Jay Gruden, rookie first-round pick Dwayne Haskins will follow Keenum under center. McCoy will not play.
Gruden says officially no Colt for Thursday. Keenum will start and Haskins will play after that. No firm guideline on snaps/playing time

Acquired from the Denver Broncos in an off-season trade, Keenum had a ho-hum preseason debut last week. Haskins threw two interceptions, including a pick-six, in his initial NFL action against Cleveland last week.
The veteran was listed as Washington’s starter in its initial depth chart of the summer. It’s not yet known how much this will change moving forward.
As it relates to Haskins, there’s still an opening for him to be the Week 1 starter. But the Ohio State product must improve leaps and bounds over the next couple weeks.
