The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a sixth straight win, as they were able to make easy work of the Carolina Panthers in Week 17 on the road at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.
Now the Seahawks will head into a crucial divisional matchup with the red-hot San Francisco 49ers in the final week of the regular season.
With the Los Angeles Rams being eliminated from contention, the NFC West division title will be on the line in Week 18, as Sam Darnold and company will travel to the Bay Area to take on Brock Purdy‘s squad at Levi’s Stadium.
Rashid Shaheed’s Status Remains Uncertain for Seahawks

With the NFC West division title on the line this Saturday on the road against a 49ers squad that has won six straight games, the Seahawks will want to be as healthy as possible to take on their division rivals.
One concern the Seahawks will have this week is whether they’ll have wide receiver Rashid Shaheed available to play against San Francisco. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network provided an update on Shaheed’s status on Monday.
“Let’s get to some of the injuries for this week,” Rapoport said. “Rashid Shaheed, who has been one of the better stories for Seattle. He’s been a returner. An excellent, excellent one. He’s been a big-play receiver. Remember, they traded for him from the New Orleans Saints—one of their big moves this season.
“He was knocked out of this game with a concussion. It’s tough to know how a player is going to respond from a concussion. It did not seem that the team thought it was a particularly severe one. Players either come back next week or they don’t. It really just depends on how they respond, so obviously, it’s a possibility that Rashid Shaheed is not on the field for Week 18.”
The Seahawks will monitor Shaheed’s status throughout the week leading up to this NFC West battle on Saturday. His presence on the field definitely improves the team’s chances of coming out on top against the 49ers, as he has proven to be a dynamic playmaker for Seattle.
In eight games with the Seahawks after being traded by the Saints, Shaheed has racked up 250 yards from scrimmage while also scoring a touchdown on a punt return and reaching the end zone on a kick return, making him a lethal weapon in many different areas.

The Seahawks and 49ers will get one less day to prepare for their biggest game of the 2025 NFL season, as the league has moved their NFC West showdown to Saturday.
This is a crucial matchup for both teams, as the NFC West division title will be on the line. The winner of this divisional battle will have an easier path in the NFL playoffs.
Obviously, not ideal for either team.
As of Monday, the Seahawks are currently favored (-1.5) to get the win on the road against the division rival 49ers.
