Seahawks Get Surprising Kenneth Walker Injury News Before Titans Game

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker was a surprise addition to the injury report on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s road game against the Tennessee Titans with a glute injury. Walker had not appeared on the report earlier in the week before the new issue surfaced.

Mike Macdonald said Walker should be fine for Sunday, and that his inclusion was precautionary.

The Seahawks also designated linebacker Ernest Jones (knee), fullback Robbie Ouzts (elbow/personal) and left guard Grey Zabel (knee) as questionable and will be a game-time decision. Wide receiver Tory Horton (shin) and linebacker Tyrice Knight (concussion) have been ruled out for Week 12, with Horton set to miss his second straight game and Knight sidelined for the first time this season.

Seahawks Add Kenneth Walker to Injury Report Before Titans Game

Walker’s glute injury is his first listed issue of the 2025 season and popped up on the final report, after he carried no designation on Wednesday and Thursday. The team has not specified when the injury occurred, though it likely came up during the latter part of the practice week. According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, it’s the first time all season Walker has appeared on an injury report.

The timing is especially tough for Seattle. Earlier this week, head coach Mike Macdonald said Walker was in line for “more opportunities” after a strong showing in last Sunday’s 21-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Walker enters Week 12 leading the Seahawks with 136 carries for 606 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, production that had him trending toward a larger workload against a vulnerable Titans run defense.

Walker has dealt with a string of lower-body issues in his young career, including ankle and soft-tissue injuries that cost him multiple games in 2024. Seattle has been careful with his snaps this season, frequently rotating with Zach Charbonnet to manage the wear and tear on its explosive starter.

What Kenneth Walker’s Injury Means for Seahawks Offense vs. Titans

If Walker is limited or can’t go, Charbonnet is the next man up. The third-year back has logged 105 carries for 350 yards and six rushing touchdowns this season and has already handled lead duties at times when Walker was banged up. Rookie George Holani provides additional depth behind them.

On paper, this is a prime spot for Seattle to lean on its ground game. The Seahawks come into Week 12 at 7-3, averaging 29.4 points and 365.8 yards per game, while the Titans are 1-9 and have allowed 273 points, the worst mark in the AFC South.

Tennessee has struggled to stop the run and was already eliminated from the division race in Week 11, setting up what looked like an ideal runway for a Walker-heavy script.

Instead, the Seahawks may have to decide how much risk they are willing to take with Walker’s latest ailment in late November, with a playoff push still ahead. His status will be finalized when inactives are released roughly 90 minutes before kickoff in Nashville.
