Son Heung-min has been linked with a loan move back to Europe when the MLS season comes to an end, but he does not sound keen on the idea.
The 33-year-old joined Los Angeles FC in August after 10 years with Tottenham and has made a great start to life in America.
The South Korean icon has scored 10 goals in 12 games for his new side, helping to fire LA FC into the MLS Cup playoff Conference semi-finals.
The MLS Cup concludes in December and then there is a break over the winter until the 2026 MLS campaign gets going in February.
That leaves an opportunity for the star names in the States to come over and play in Europe, just as David Beckham did all the way back in 2009 when he joined AC Milan from LA Galaxy.

There have been other high profile examples, including Thierry Henry returning to Arsenal from New York Red Bulls in 2012 and US superstar Landon Donovan made a trio of loan moves from LA Galaxy, joining Bayern Munich and Everton twice.
Son has been touted as a January signing for Spurs, while the likes of AC Milan and Barcelona have also been linked with a loan move for the forward.
However, Son has committed himself to Los Angeles FC and suggests he will not be appearing for any other club during his spell there.
Speaking to TV Chosun, via The Chosun Daily, Son said of the loan speculation: ‘Many people are curious. The rumours themselves are uncomfortable. Fans must also be confused.
‘My belief and mindset have always been that giving my all to the team I am playing for is most important. The rumours are not true.
‘I have never once discussed moving to another team during the winter. The mere mention of such talks could be disrespectful to LAFC. I can confirm it is not true.’
Son notes that he wants to be in the best shape possible for the World Cup next summer, with South Korea already qualified for the tournament.
The off-season will be used to rest and not squeeze in some testing games in elite leagues.
‘I am focusing on recharging during the winter and preparing for the World Cup,’ he said. ‘I want to create the best possible condition to prepare for the World Cup. I hope such rumours do not resurface. I respect and cherish the LAFC club,
‘I could get injured. Devoting everything to the team I am with is respect for my mental health, physical health, and the team’s fans. It is the most important thing.’
