Suspended Former Ravens All-Pro Justin Tucker Gets Tryout in NFC South

There might still be an NFL career to be had for disgraced former Baltimore Ravens kicker and 8-time NFL All-Pro Justin Tucker.

According to several reports, Tucker went through a workout with the New Orleans Saints — the first workout for Tucker since he was suspended in June for 10 games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

“The Saints are hosting a kicker tryout and former Pro Bowler Justin Tucker is among those invited, per me and Mike Garafolo,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote on his official X account on Monday, November 24. “This is his first workout since being suspended 10 games by the NFL for violating the personal conduct policy.”

Tucker was accused of sexual misconduct by workers from 16 spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area in a series of stories from The Baltimore Banner at the beginning of 2025, leading to his release by the Ravens in May followed by his NFL suspension one month later.

“In an unceremonious end to one of the greatest of Ravens careers, Baltimore released Justin Tucker on Monday, parting ways with the NFL’s most accurate kicker amid an investigation by the league for sexual misconduct,” ESPN’s Jamison Hensley wrote.

Tucker, who won a Super Bowl as a rookie with the Ravens following the 2012 season, previously held the record for the longest field goal in NFL history with a game-winning, 66-yard field goal against the Detroit Lions in 2021.

That record was broken by Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little’s 68-yard field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders on November 2.

Tucker also holds NFL records for most seasons with at least 30 field goals (9) and was the fastest kicker to reach 1,000 career points and 300 career field goals in NFL history.

Accusations Similar to Browns QB Watson

The accusations against Tucker, who made a staggering $51.1 million in 13 NFL seasons, were the second time a prominent NFL player has been accused of committing such acts under the gist of getting massages or treatment.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was also accused of similar acts while he was playing with the Houston Texans and served an 11-game suspension in 2022 after the Browns traded for him and signed him to a 5-year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract — widely thought of as the worst contract in NFL history.

Saints Might Not Be Able to Weather Storm

There might not be a way for any NFL team — the Saints or otherwise — to sign Tucker because of the likely fallout within their own communities.

“Trying out Justin Tucker in 2025 is gross and screams desperation,” The Saints Wire’s John Sigler wrote on X. “He shouldn’t be in the league … Even if he wasn’t a sex pest, Justin Tucker is a bad kicker. He hit 73.3% of his field goals last year. That would rank 31st this year.”

The Saints were the one of the teams who tried to trade for Watson in 2022.

New Orleans and first year head coach Kellen Moore are 2-9 headed into Week 13.

“The Saints were all in on Deshaun Watson so the Justin Tucker tryout checks out,” The Spun’s Chris Rosvoglou wrote on his official X account.
