Even so, Russini emphasized the organizationâs stance: A.J. Brown is not on the block.

Former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski discussed the rumor on Kay Adamsâ âUp & Adamsâ show:
âAnother dark horse everyone has been talking about is A.J. Brown, obviously, but thatâs been news for a long time now, going to the Patriots since heâs such a big Patriots fan as well.
You saw that when he got (Julian Edelmanâs) and (Tom Bradyâs) jersey in the offseason.
A wide receiver and a big-time player. Iâm not talking about trading for an average guy -theyâve got to make a splash if they do make a trade, and they canât overpay either. It just has to be fair.â
Why the Eagles Wonât Move Him
Brown is signed through 2027, still just 27 years old, and the emotional centerpiece of the Eaglesâ offense.
Heâs one of only two players in franchise history to post consecutive 1,400-yard seasons and remains Jalen Hurtsâ most trusted target.
Philadelphia is built to win now. Trading Brown would undo the balance that turned them into perennial contenders.

The Patriots-Vrabel-Brown rumor makes for great television: a coach seeking redemption, a player nostalgic for his childhood team, and a fan base craving offense.
