The Kansas City Chiefs were expected to beat the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 19, but they absolutely annihilated the team, with the final score of 31-0. It was an exciting game for the Chiefs’ camp, although it came with some difficult injuries, which is never a good thing. But, with that final score, the Chiefs left little to question about whether they’re one of the strongest, and perhaps the strongest, teams in the NFL.
Taylor Swift, of course, is engaged to be married to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift goes to almost all of the Chiefs’ home games, and Sunday was no exception. She was there to cheer on Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs, and her support seemed to pay off.
What’s extra special is that during the game, news about Swift broke out that proves just how much she rules the pop music space. Literally during the Chiefs-Raiders matchup, music industry publication Billboard reported some huge news about her new album.
Taylor Swift Gets Great News While Watching Travis Kelce Play the Raiders
Taylor Swift released her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3, and she’s been busy promoting the set ever since. During the game, Billboard reported that the album is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a second week in a row.
“Taylor Swift‘s “The Life of a Showgirl” spends a second week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 25), with 338,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending Oct. 16, according to Luminate,” Billboard reported. They added that those numbers are “down 92% compared to the album’s modern-era-record debut with 4.002 million units a week ago,” but it’s still enough to be No. 1.
Actually, even with the numbers dropping off in its second week of sales, the second week of “Showgirl” is the fifth-largest week of 2025 for any album, according to Billboard, and the largest second week for any album since Swift’s last record, “The Tortured Poets Department,” back in May of 2024.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the United States, counting any genre, “based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate,” according to Billboard.
Taylor Swift Mini-Series on the Way
Swift is closing out an “era,” pun intended, with an all-new documentary series, plus a full version of her “Eras Tour” concert film, at the end of 2025. Swift dropped the news after she wrapped up a week-long promo for her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Swift Swift will release a six-episode series giving listeners an inside look at her historic “Eras Tour.” The series will be feature a complete version of her “Eras Tour” concert movie that highlights her “Tortured Poets Department” set.
Two episodes of the docuseries will debut on Disney+ each week starting December 12. The full-length concert film will also be available on streaming services starting on December 12.
Swift has made waves in pop music, but musicians from across the musical spectrum respect her music. “The Eras Tour” started in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and closed out in Vancouver in December 2024. Swift played 149 shows in 51 cities across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia on the trek, and it was crowned the highest grossing tour of all time.
