Thierry Henry has delivered his verdict on Arsenal’s chances of reaching the Champions League final after Tuesday’s 1-0 first leg defeat to PSG.
The Gunners lost their semi-final first leg match against the French champions at the Emirates with Ousmane Dembele scoring the only goal.
Arsenal now face a daunting trip to the Parc des Princes and must produce a comeback in the second leg on May 7 in order to book a spot in the final.
Henry hasn’t given up hope of his ex-club Arsenal turning things around in the French capital but admits that PSG were ‘far superior’ in north London.
‘There is another tie,’ Henry told CBS Sports after the first meeting between the two sides in the last four. ‘You never know what’s going to happen.

‘PSG were far superior in this game, so a lot needs to be changed in order for Arsenal to make sure that they can beat PSG over [in Paris]. It’s going be a different ball game.
‘But as soon as [Ousmane] Dembele came off tonight, PSG dropped a bit more. It was easier for Arsenal to put pressure because Dembele wasn’t coming and getting the ball.
‘But, yeah, like I said, you’re still in the tie. Anything can happen.’
Arsenal failed to score in a home Champions League game for the first time since a 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in the last 16 in February 2016.
Only against Newcastle in January in the Carabao Cup have Arsenal had more big chances without scoring this term than their three against PSG.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was quizzed in his post-match press conference if his side’s semi-final tie against PSG was still 50/50.
‘I don’t know the percentage,’ Arteta said. ‘But we have a lot of chances to be in that final.
‘You have to do something, especially in the competition, to earn the right to be in the final and the time to do it is going to be in Paris.’
Arsenal star Mikel Merino, meanwhile, is adamant that the squad ‘can’t wait to go to Paris’ for the second leg.
‘We know we have a really good team, a powerful team, and we are really confident that we’re going to win the second leg,’ Merino said.
‘I think people are optimistic. We know that what we showed today is just the beginning of what we are, and obviously really confident, really full of power for the second leg.
‘I think what we’ll learn is that we are able to dominate any team, anywhere. This is a team that really wants to be the ball the whole time, really wants to keep you in your box.
‘Today we proved that we can play against anyone and be the main team on the pitch. Today showed us that we are really capable of performing anywhere. We can’t wait to go to Paris.’
