Over the weekend, Las Vegas Raiders minority owner and former NFL great Tom Brady made headlines for hanging out and sharing a dance with superstar actress Sydney Sweeney at Jeff Bezos’s wedding.
Rumors swirled about a potential relationship between the two celebrities despite their age gap. Brady is 47 years old while Sweeney is only 27.
But on Tuesday June 1, 2025, TMZ reported that sources with direct knowledge of the situation revealed that Sweeney is single and not looking for a relationship as of now. Reporters also spotted her with newly-single actor Orlando Bloom at the party, but there is nothing going on romantically between Bloom and Sweeney either.
Brady also apparently danced with model Brooks Nader during the wedding reception and did not take things further with any of the women at the party.
If the rumors had been true, Brady and Sweeney would have immediately rivaled Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for the title of most famous NFL couple.
Tom Brady Relationship History
Tom Brady has had two famous, public relationships.
From 2004 until 2006, Brady dated actress Bridget Monyahan. Right before they broke up, Monyahan became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Jack Monyahan, in August 2007.
Late in 2006, Brady began dating model Giselle Bundchen. They married on December 26, 2009 and had two children together. Their marriage lasted 12 years before they announced their divorce in October 2022.
Brady and model Irina Shayk have reportedly shared romantic encounters in the wake of Brady’s divorce, but Brady has never confirmed that publicly.
After retirement, Brady has gone into broadcasting with Fox as well as his ownership role with the Raiders. Brady recently said that his role with Las Vegas is “limited” but Raiders leadership uses him as a sounding board when they need him.
Anyone looking to date Brady will have to come alongside him in all of those football endeavors.
Sydney Sweeney’s Relationship History
The “Euphoria” and “Anyone But You” (2023) actress has only had one major public relationship: to Jonathan Davino, who Sweeney has produced films with in the past.
Davino and Sweeney got engaged in 2022, but news broke in March 2025 that they had broken off their engagement and separated.
Speculation has swirled about Sweeney’s feelings for “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell over the years, especially after the two fan-favorite performers showed a lot of chemistry not just in the film, but on the press tour. Powell is also significantly older than Sweeney at age 36 and is also single. He dated Gigi Paris from 2020 until 2023.
But Powell seems pretty focused on his career, which is the reason he broke things off with Paris.
Sweeney is actually apparently single for the same reason: she is enjoying focusing on her career, as well as her life outside of a relationship.
Sweeney will next appear in the psychological thriller film “The Housemaid”, which Lionsgate Films is releasing on Christmas Day December 25, 2025.
Fans are certainly rooting for Sweeney and Brady to find their happily ever afters…even if that doesn’t come with one another and happens years down the road.
