UK Championship qualifying comes to an end on Thursday after two Judgement Days in Leicester to determine the 16 players who will make it to York.
The top 16 players in the world have already booked their places at the Barbican and will be busy preparing for the first Triple Crown event of the season.
The rest of the tour are slugging it out in the qualifiers for the chance to join them and that process comes to an end on Thursday.
There are some potentially big stories ahead of the final round of qualifying, with women’s world champion Bai Yulu grabbing headlines with her three victories so far.
The 21-year-old has already made history with those three wins and one more would really grab the attention of the wider sporting world.
Former champion Zhao Xintong is also one win away from York in his first professional event since returning from his ban as part of snooker’s match-fixing scandal.
The 27-year-old did not fix any games himself, but was aware of corruption and bet on matches, which saw him banned for 20 months, but he loooks in excellent form on his return.
