Warriors Injury Report Takes Shape Ahead of Crucial Nets Game

The Golden State Warriors do not have the luxury of lingering after another frustrating loss.

Less than 24 hours after letting a winnable game slip away in Toronto, Golden State heads into Brooklyn sitting at 16–16, still searching for consistency, and still stuck in the same patterns that have defined much of this season.

Now comes the second night of a back-to-back against the Nets, with the injury report offering at least some clarity on who will be available as the Warriors try to steady themselves.

Good News Up Top for the Warriors

GettySteph Curry of the Golden State Warriors is still among the best players in the NBA.

The headline update is simple.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are not listed on the injury report for Monday night’s game against the Nets. Barring a late change, both are expected to suit up on the back end of the back-to-back.

That matters, especially given how much responsibility the two carried Sunday night, even as the game unraveled late.

Jimmy Butler is listed as probable with back soreness. Butler played through the issue against Toronto and is expected to be available again in Brooklyn, giving Golden State its primary scoring option behind Curry.

The Warriors will, however, be without Al Horford, who is not expected to play on back-to-backs this season. Horford logged minutes Sunday and will sit out Monday. Seth Curry also remains out as he continues to deal with sciatica.

Why This Back-to-Back Feels Heavy for the Warriors

Sunday’s loss to Toronto was not just another mark in the loss column.

Golden State controlled large portions of the game, built multiple double-digit leads, and still found a way to let it slip. Turnovers piled up. The pressure mounted. And once the Raptors turned up their defense late, the Warriors had no counter.

By the time overtime arrived, momentum was gone. Toronto closed on a dominant run, and Golden State was left with another reminder of how thin the margin has been all season.

Head coach Steve Kerr took responsibility afterward, pointing directly to late-game organization and turnovers. Curry echoed the same themes. Too many mistakes. Too few answers when the game tightened.

Those issues have followed the Warriors all year. They are now 16–16, with a growing list of blown leads and one of the league’s weaker clutch-game records.

That context matters heading into Brooklyn.

What the Nets Are Bringing

Brooklyn enters the matchup with a relatively clean injury report.

Haywood Highsmith is out with a knee injury, while Ziaire Williams is listed as probable with an ankle issue.

The Nets are not overwhelming on paper, but they bring length, pressure, and enough athleticism to test a Warriors group that has struggled when opponents speed the game up late.

After what happened in Toronto, that feels like a meaningful test.

What to Watch Monday Night

This game is not about talent availability. Golden State will have its core.

It is about response.

Can the Warriors clean up the turnovers that continue to surface at the worst moments? Can they handle sustained pressure without unraveling? And can they find a way to close a game without letting it spiral?

Those questions have been asked repeatedly this season. The answers have been inconsistent.

Monday night in Brooklyn offers another chance to change that narrative, even if only temporarily. On the second night of a back-to-back, with fatigue in play and patience tested, the Warriors will find out quickly whether Sunday’s collapse lingers — or sharpens their focus.

At 16–16, the margin for error is shrinking.
