That win puts Mikel Arteta’s side five points clear at the top of the table, with just one game for them to play, but the title race is not yet over.
Closest rivals Manchester City still have two matches to play, so could still break Arsenal hearts, but need the Gunners to stumble.
City themselves must be perfect in their last two games or could see Arsenal be crowned champions earlier than expected.
When can Arsenal win the Premier League title?
The earliest Arsenal can become Premier League champions is Tuesday night when Manchester City travel to Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola’s team needs to win that match or the title race is over.
The Cherries have been in fine form and can still finish in the Champions League places, so it is no easy task for Manchester City when three points are vital.
It Manchester City do win at Bournemouth then it will go down to the last game of the season on Sunday afternoon, when all remaining matches kick off at 4pm.
Arsenal go to Crystal Palace and Manchester City host Aston Villa. If the Gunners win then they are champions, anything less and City would usurp them at the last.
When did Arsenal last win the Premier League?
It has been a long wait for Premier League glory for Arsenal, last lifting the trophy 22 years ago in 2004.
That was the Invincibles season which saw Arsene Wenger’s side go the whole league season unbeaten, remaining the only team to do so in the Premier League.
The Gunners’ other Premier League triumphs came in 1998 and 2002, both also under Wenger.

Whatever happens at the climax of the Premier League, Arsenal have the chance to make history in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
