Who are the Paris Paralympics 2024 presenters, pundits and commentators?

Channel 4 has an impressive list of presenters, pundits and commentators for their action-packed coverage of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

It has been a busy summer with the European Championship and Olympic Games providing triumph and heartbreak in equal measure.

The summer of sport isn’t over yet, however. Ellie Simmonds, winner of eight Paralympic medals, makes her presenting debut with over 1,300 hours of live sport to be broadcast on Channel 4, More 4 and Channel 4’s YouTube channels over the next 11 days.   

The opening ceremony takes place tonight in the French capital to get the party started – and here is who will be guiding you through all the action.

Who are the Eurosport presenters, pundits and commentators for Paris Paralympics 2024?

Ade Adepitan will lead Channel 4’s coverage and will be joined by Simmonds. The five-time gold medal winner retired after the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Actress and activist Rose Ayling-Ellis will also be making her presenting bow alongside Clare Balding inside the Athlete’s Village.

Former British racing driver Billy Monger is also part of the team, along with JJ Chalmers – an Invictus Games medalist. Comedian Josh Pugh will also be taking up presenting duties along with Vick Hope.

When is the Paralympics opening ceremony?

The opening ceremony kicks off tonight, with the curtain-raiser scheduled to get underway at 7pm BST.

As was the case last month in Paris, the event takes place in the heart of the city with Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Elysees hosting 4,400 Paralympic athletes from 184 delegations

UK viewers can watch the ceremony live on Channel 4 with coverage underway from 6:30pm.

What is the Paralympics schedule for the opening day of action (Thursday 29 August)

There are gold medal opportunities for Team GB on the opening day of action with Kadeena Cox a going for a third successive C4-5 women’s time trial title.

Daphne Schrager is a medal contender in the C1-3 individual pursuit with the Team GB wheelchair rugby team starting the defence of their title against Australia.

William Ellard and Olivia Newman-Baronius are in pool action in the evening with Tully Kearney looking to go one better in his S5 200m freestyle after winning silver in Tokyo.
