Kevin Danso, who collided with Mbappe which led to the Frenchman’s injury, issued an apology to France supporters on social media after Monday’s match.

He wrote: “To French supporters: I am sorry that Kylian Mbappe was injured during our duel.

“I wish him a good recovery and I hope he can quickly find his place on the pitch.”

When is Netherlands vs France?

France’s huge game against the Netherlands will take place on Friday, June 21.

It is scheduled to kick off at 8pm BST.

The Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany will host the Group D fixture and can host approximately 42,600 for international matches.
