Why William Saliba is not playing for Arsenal against Chelsea today

William Saliba has been left out of the Arsenal squad taking on Chelsea in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Gunners made the trip to Stamford Bridge without centre-half Gabriel Magalhaes, who is ruled out until the end of December with a thigh injury.

His partner at the back William Saliba also misses out after picking up a knock in training.

Viktor Gyokeres is back in the Arsenal squad having missed the last four games.

The Sweden international was forced off at half-time against Burnley at the start of the month with a hamstring injury but is back among the subs today.

Martin Odegaard returned off the bench midweek against Bayern Munich with the captain again named among the substitutes today with Eberechi Eze starting ahead of him.

Gabriel Martinelli, another to return from injury during the week, replaces Leandro Trossard who is left out of the squad.

Trossard picked up a knock in the first-half against Bayern with Martinelli in to replace him on the left.
