WWE Unreal Season 2 To Feature Viral Storylines: Report

The first season of WWE Unreal on Netflix was a rousing success despite some backlash from fans and wrestling personalities about sharing too much information about the business. The reality television series is coming back for a second season, with a couple of viral stories to be featured.

According to BodySlam+ on Patreon, WWE has already scheduled interviews for several stars like Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, IYO SKY, Naomi, Penta, R-Truth and Lyra Valkyria. The report added that the filming of Season 2 is almost over, which would cover the past eight months of the WWE calendar.

The first season was composed of five episodes, which tackled a variety of topics. Episode 1 was centered around WWE’s debut on Netflix in January, followed by the preparations for the 2025 Royal Rumble.

The third episode covered stars, such as Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair, while the fourth one was all about John Cena‘s heel turn at Elimination Chamber: Toronto. The season finale showed all the backstage preparations and reactions to WrestleMania 41.

R-Truth’s Contract Situation to Be Featured on WWE Unreal Season 2

BodySlam+ on Patreon reported that one of the main points of the season of WWE Unreal will be R-Truth’s release and immediate return. R-Truth famously announced on June 1 that he was released from his contract, ending his 17-year tenure.

However, fan backlash that were seen online and on live shows were enough to convince WWE to bring back R-Truth. He made his shocking return seven days later in the Main Event of Money in the Bank. He helped Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso get the win over John Cena and Logan Paul.

While the return was a success, R-Truth’s subsequent booking was a point of contention for many fans. Some expected him to be inserted into the main event scene for a brief period, which happened when he called himself Ron Killings.

The 53-year-old star immediately returned to his comedy gimmick after facing Cena for the WWE Championship on SmackDown.

WWE Unreal Season 2 to include Seth Rollins Faking His Injury

Another storyline that will be featured in the second season of WWE Unreal will be Seth Rollins’ injury ruse at Night 1 of SummerSlam, as per BodySlam+ on Patreon. Rollins seemingly suffered a knee injury at Saturday Night’s Main Event Event on July 12 against LA Knight.

Rollins sold the injury in public and brought kayfabe back for a minute before revealing at SummerSlam that he was faking it all along. He cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk, who just became the World Heavyweight Champion after beating Gunther.

Unluckily for The Visionary, he suffered a legitimate injury two months later at Crown Jewel: Perth in a match against Cody Rhodes. He was able to finish the match and beat Rhodes for the first time since The American Nightmare returned to WWE in 2022.

Two days later on WWE RAW, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed kicked Rollins off The Vision. It was a way to write Rollins off from television, allowing him to vacate the championship and undergo shoulder surgery.
